All parents with newborn babies that live in Vulcan County receive on the first home visit from the Public Health Nurse a Books for Babies Bag sponsored by Rainbow Literacy Society. This bag includes a board book, soft cover book, baby’s first library card, information on reading to your baby and things to do and watch for in the baby’s growth.

An envelope is given out to parents on the 12-month Health Unit visit with another age appropriate book and information on reading to your toddler.
For additional support we have a 4 week program where you will receive 1 book each week. This program is designed as a literacy support for you and your baby!
Stay tuned for the time and location of our next session.
